Our club members enjoy flying a wide variety of fixed wing aircraft including gliders, electric and I/C powered models of all shapes and sizes, however this does not include drones (multirotors), helicopters, gas turbines, engines over 45cc or EDF models over 6 cell. We have an enviable reputation for offering fixed wing training and support for beginners and experts alike.

Club members have the benefits of:

• A large and secluded private flying field with our club shelter and a club bench.

• Regular club magazines.

• BMFA registered trainers providing FREE fixed wing training sessions.

• Regular competitions during the summer months:

  • Electroslot competitions.

  • Two types of scale competition, one for ARTF models and another for traditional or scratch builders.

  • A couple of scale fly-in days for those less interested in competitive model flying.

• In addition to flying at our field site, the club organises indoor flying every fortnight between the months of October and March.

• The Club also host social events through the year.

• A members section of our site with a private forum and more
